Web'n' Walk

What is Web'n'Walk?

Web 'n' walk gives you unlimited internet browsing on the move. It makes surfing the web on your mobile simple and provides easy access to your personal email.

Can I use web 'n' walk to go to any internet site?

Some web sites contain large graphics or pop ups which are not supported by the browsers and screen sizes of these devices. If you have Content Lock applied, you'll be restricted from viewing 18-rated sites.

What is a T-Mobile favorite?

When you open up the Internet on your mobile, you're taken to T-Mobile Favourites - our home page with:

•  Direct access to the Google search engine
•  Featured links to frequently used internet sites
•  A promotional area for special offers, deals orevents from T-Mobile
•  A link to common questions to get you started

Is there a download limit for browsing internet?

All T-Mobile's new Web 'n' walk plans come with an unlimited allowance handset based browsing and email (subject to a fair use policy of 2Gb).

Why do some websites take longer than others to access?

The time depends on the size and graphical content of the website. Those with more text than pictures load faster. It can also depend on your phone and the connection speed available on the network at the time.

Can I use my e-mail service with web 'n' walk?

Web'n'walk mobiles can support POP3 and IMAP4 email access. Unfortunately, Hotmail does not currently support such access to its accounts.

GPRS

What is GPRS?

GPRS - General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) technology allows mobiles to send and receive data and make fact connections to the internet. Your mobile phone can be permanently connected to the internet, but you'll only be charged when it's receiving or sending data.

How much does it cost?

With GPRS you're charged for the size of what you view, as opposed to how long you view for . For example, a T-Zones page viewed over GPRS will cost approximately 6p instead of 10p.

Can I use GPRS to access T-Zones?

Yes. There are two ways to access t-zones - via CSD (Circuit Switched Data), or GPRS. You can find how your mobile is set up in an instant because when you connect to the internet it will either say 'Connecting bt CSD/GPRS' or you will see a GPRS icon on the screen.
